Definitions

“Service” refers to the platform www.theteachersconnections.com that connects families with qualified teachers, tutors, and babysitters.
“User” refers to any individual who registers, books, or interacts with our platform, including parents, caregivers, tutors, and babysitters.

 

User Responsibilities

• Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration and when making a booking.
   

• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and all activities that occur under their account.
   

• Users agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
   

 

Booking Process

• To book a babysitter or tutor, Users must select their desired service, service provider, date, and time, and complete the booking request or payment process as required.
   

• All bookings are subject to availability. In the rare instance that a babysitter or tutor becomes unavailable (for example, due to illness or emergency), we will do our best to find a replacement but cannot guarantee one.
   

 

Payment

• Payments are processed through online banking.
   

• Users agree to pay all applicable fees associated with the booked service at the time of booking.
   

• The Teacher’s Connections reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Any changes will be communicated clearly before a new booking is confirmed.
   

 

Cancellation Policy

• Users may cancel a booking up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
   

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled booking will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total service fee.
   

• If a babysitter or tutor cancels, The Teacher’s Connections will do its best to arrange a replacement or provide a refund.
   

 

Babysitter and Tutor Responsibilities

• Babysitters and tutors are responsible for providing a safe, professional, and caring environment for children and learners.
   

• They must adhere to the agreed-upon schedule and communicate promptly if any changes arise.
   

• Babysitters and tutors are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the booking location.
   

• Babysitters and tutors must uphold the values of professionalism, reliability, and respect that reflect The Teacher’s Connections brand.
   

 

Liability

• The Teacher’s Connections acts solely as a platform connecting families with babysitters and tutors.
   

• We are not an employer of the tutors or babysitters listed on the platform and are not responsible for their actions, omissions, or conduct.
   

• Users agree to indemnify and hold The Teacher’s Connections harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from the use of our Services.
   

• We do not guarantee outcomes or results from tutoring sessions or babysitting services.
   

 

Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

 

Changes to Terms

The Teacher’s Connections reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

 

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be resolved in the appropriate courts of New Zealand.
