We have over 110 tutors working across Aotearoa. We match you with a tutor that works in a local school. Our team is made up of experienced teachers, some are Heads of Departments, Heads of Year, NCEA markers, or Assistant Headteachers. Alistair
Alistair teaches Scholarship Chemistry, IB Chemistry, and leads the Chemistry Olympiad at St Cuthbert’s College, with students achieving top national success. He also holds a Master of Teaching and Education Leadership and has served as an NCEA marker, supporting excellence in teaching and assessment.

Adam
Adam holds a BA and Master’s Degree in English and Drama and is a professional writer and teacher with experience teaching both NCEA and Cambridge. A dynamic and dedicated educator, Adam has a proven track record of raising student achievement, fostering creativity and confidence.

Crystalline is a bubbly, warm and highly engaging intermediate teacher, currently teaching at Glenavon School. She is passionate about creating positive, inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued, supported and empowered to succeed. Adam is a passionate and knowledgeable secondary Geography and History teacher with experience teaching across a range of year levels and abilities. He has a proven ability to prepare students for examinations while adapting his teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those requiring additional learning support. Liziana teaches Science and Biology at Edgewater College, where she also serves as Hillary Whānau Leader. She has extensive experience teaching NCEA Levels 1–3, with a strong focus on creating positive and engaging learning experiences. Passionate about supporting every ākonga to succeed and is known for her warm, student-centred approach.

Samantha
Samantha is a specialist in the early years of primary, currently teaching Year 1 at Royal Oak Primary School. With over 10 years of experience in early childhood and junior primary education, she is passionate about creating nurturing, play-based, and inclusive classrooms where tamariki build strong core foundations in literacy and numeracy.
Languages
Bec
Bec is an experienced Spanish and French teacher at Saint Kentigern College. Passionate about languages and global cultures, she creates engaging, immersive learning experiences for her students. With over 15 years of teaching experience across New Zealand, the UK, and Spain, she is highly experienced in NCEA, IB, and Cambridge Spanish. Bec also works in Middle Management, supporting student wellbeing, and is an NZQA contractor for examination development and assessment.

Megan is a passionate and experienced primary teacher with over eight years of classroom experience, currently teaching at Newtown School in Wellington. As her school's Curriculum Lead for Literacy and Kahui Ako Within School Lead, she brings exceptional expertise in literacy, numeracy and evidence-based teaching practices. Megan is dedicated to creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences that are tailored to each child's unique strengths and needs, helping students build confidence while accelerating academic progress. Diego
Diego is an experienced Maths and Statistics teacher, currently Assistant Head of Mathematics at Takapuna Grammar School. He teaches NCEA Levels 1–3 and Scholarship Statistics and is a true expert in his field. He is known for relatable explanations of tricky concepts, helping students achieve excellence.

Kelsey
Kelsey is the second-in-command of the English Department at Marist College. With extensive experience teaching Years 9–13, she is known for her engaging teaching style, creative curriculum leadership, and commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.

James
James is an experienced Science and Biology teacher at Rangitoto College with extensive experience teaching NCEA Levels 1–3. Having also taught in the UK and China, he brings a wealth of international classroom expertise and a broad perspective to his teaching. James is passionate about helping students develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts, tailoring lessons to suit individual learning styles while building confidence and academic success. His engaging, supportive approach combines strong subject knowledge with inclusive teaching practices, empowering students to reach their full potential and develop a genuine curiosity for science.

Jo
Joanna is a highly experienced educator with nearly 30 years in education, specialising in literacy, curriculum design, and personalised learning. Currently teaching at Manakau School while also leading curriculum development projects, she combines extensive classroom expertise with a deep understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum. As a trained Reading Recovery teacher and experienced curriculum designer, Joanna excels at identifying each student's individual learning needs and creating engaging, evidence-based programmes that accelerate progress. Her calm, relationship-focused approach helps students build confidence, develop a genuine love of learning, and achieve lasting academic success.

Casey is a Chemistry teacher at Saint Kentigern College, teaching senior Chemistry across both NCEA and IB, as well as junior Science. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Medicinal Chemistry. Casey is also an NCEA external marker, giving her strong insight into what students need to achieve top results. She is warm, knowledgeable, and excellent at helping students build confidence and success.

Chantelle has taught at Kristin School and Diocesan School across both NCEA and IB programmes. As a subject expert, she also holds a PhD in English. She consistently gets excellent reviews for helping students achieve outstanding results. Rachel is Teacher in Charge of Chemistry at Otago Boys' High School, where she helps raise achievement across the subject. She has extensive experience teaching senior Chemistry and Science, and has also worked with the Ministry of Education supporting the NCEA refresh. Rachel is an NZQA moderator and Scholarship Chemistry check marker, giving her excellent insight into assessment success.

Gemma is a highly experienced Chemistry specialist with over 15 years of teaching experience across New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Currently teaching at Tauranga Boys' College, she has extensive expertise in NCEA Level 1 Science, Level 2 and 3 Chemistry, and Scholarship Chemistry, as well as experience teaching international qualifications. As an NCEA Chemistry exam writer and external marker, Gemma has exceptional insight into assessment standards and what students need to succeed in exams. Her engaging, structured teaching style, combined with her passion for mentoring and differentiated learning, helps students build confidence, deepen their understanding of complex concepts, and consistently achieve outstanding academic results.

Max is a secondary Mathematics teacher who holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of California, giving her a strong foundation in advanced mathematical thinking and problem solving. Max has experience across both NCEA and Cambridge programmes and is skilled at building students’ confidence through clear explanations, scaffolded learning, and supportive teaching.

Kate is a warm and highly experienced primary teacher who is passionate about helping children feel confident, supported, and excited about learning. She is also a mentor teacher, supporting overseas trained teachers as they begin their teaching journey in New Zealand. Kate creates calm, engaging learning environments where children feel safe to ask questions, build confidence, and develop a genuine love of literacy and maths.

Fiona is an experienced Mathematics teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience across New Zealand and the UK. As a subject expert, she also holds a Master of Education and a PhD. She currently teaches at Otago Boys’ High School, including Scholarship Statistics. She is passionate about making Mathematics engaging, accessible, and confidence-building, while helping students achieve their personal best.

Kamani has an extensive career in Mathematics and Science education, teaching in various schools across the UK and New Zealand. She has experience with NCEA, IGCSE, and Pre-IB programmes, holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a Master of Science Communication, and is known for integrating digital learning tools to help students excel.

Victoria has experience working with students across a range of year levels in the primary setting. She is passionate about creating inclusive and supportive classrooms, fostering strong relationships with tamariki, and tailoring learning to meet individual needs. Alice
Alice is an Art History specialist at Baradene College, teaching all the way though to Scholarship. She brings deep subject expertise and a genuine passion for the arts, inspiring her students to explore, appreciate, and excel in the world of art and culture.

Samid
Samid is an experienced Maths and Physics teacher with a PGDip in Physics. He has taught across New Zealand and Fiji, holding leadership roles as Head of Department and Dean, and has also served as an examiner and NCEA/Year 12–13 marker. His students consistently give him glowing reviews for his support and enthusiasm.

Chayse is an accomplished teacher with broad experience across New Zealand and Canada. Teaching at Avondale College, he brings strong expertise in curriculum design, student engagement, and academic mentoring. She has taught across primary and secondary levels in Ireland and Australia and is passionate about supporting all learners, including those with English as an additional language, to develop confidence and a love of languages.

Sundeia
Sundeia a CELTA-qualified ESOL tutor with over four years’ experience living and working in Japan, and I studied Japanese at university. I have recently completed the JLPT N3 level and have tutored both children and adults in beginner Japanese. My teaching focuses on individual learning goals, and I support learners with reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar up to JLPT N4 level. I am continually studying Japanese myself and am deeply passionate about the language, culture, and people. I have many Japanese friends and regularly host Japanese guests in our home. I currently work as an ESOL and relief teacher at two high schools.

Kent is an experienced secondary teacher and the Teacher in Charge of Biological Sciences, where he also teaches Scholarship Biology. He is the Teacher Liaison for Pasifika students at Otago Boys’ High School and is deeply committed to supporting student wellbeing, achievement, and engagement. Kent combines strong subject expertise with a thoughtful, encouraging teaching style, and is passionate about mentoring students, building confidence, and helping learners set and achieve ambitious academic goals.

Lisa is an experienced educator and former principal in Samoa, now teaching in New Zealand. Tiffany is a passionate Year 5 & 6 kaiako at Glenavon School. She brings a fresh perspective and a genuine enthusiasm for learning into the classroom. Tiffany enjoys creating a happy, positive environment where tamariki feel safe, confident, and encouraged to be themselves. Caitlyn is a fully registered teacher with over 15 years’ experience across early childhood and primary education. She is passionate about supporting the whole child and is known for building warm, trusting relationships that help learners grow in confidence and independence. Caitlyn has extensive experience supporting children with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, anxiety, trauma, and ESL.
